La última predicción de la Oficina de Meteorología es que el ex-ciclón tropical Carlos se dirigirá más hacia el noroeste y la reforma en una noche de ciclón el domingo o el lunes por la mañana cuando llegue a aguas abiertas frente a la costa de Kimberley.English:

La gente en y alrededor de los communinties debe comenzar a tomar precauciones y el esclarecimiento de sus patios y asegurar los artículos sueltos en la preparación de los fuertes vientos y lluvias fuertes con potencial de inundaciones localizadas.
TC Carlos, que se formó en el Territorio del Norte el 16 de febrero sigue causando inundaciones en la zona de Darwin. Carlos ha sido un sistema unpredictiable y ha traído lluvias récord de Darwin y otras regiones del Territorio del Norte incluyendo las Islas Tiwi. Los mapas reflejan la pista girando su trayectoria en el extremo superior hacia el Kimberley en los últimos 5 días como sigue volcado de grandes cantidades de lluvia en toda la región, lo que hace este año una temporada de lluvias abundantes.
Ex-ciclón tropical ha traído la lluvia y fuertes vientos de la zona fronteriza NT en el último par de días. Sin embargo, Kununurra, Wyndham y otras comunidades del este de Kimberley se han salvado de lo peor de las posibles inundaciones y el clima asociado.
Comunidades Kununurra y Wyndham ya no están en alerta ya que Carlos se mueve más del Noroeste.

The latest prediction from the Bureau of Meteorology is that ex-Tropical Cyclone Carlos will head further northwest and reform into a Cyclone on Sunday night or Monday morning when it reaches open water off the Kimberley coast.

Print Email this Share Permalink The 4.00pm Saturday bulletin from the Bureau of Meteorology puts communities between Kalumburu and Derby, including Mitchell Plateau, Kuri Bay, Koolan Island and Cockatoo Island on a Blue Alert.

People in and around those communinties should start taking precautions and clearing up their yards and securing loose items in preparation for strong winds and heavy rain with potential for localised flooding.

TC Carlos, which formed in the Northern Territory on 16th February is still causing flooding around the Darwin area. Carlos has been an unpredictiable system and has brought record rains to Darwin and other Northern Territory regions including the Tiwi Islands. The track maps reflect his swirling trajectory across the top end towards the Kimberley over the past 5 days as he continues to dump large amounts of rain across the region, making this year a bumper wet season.

Ex-Tropical Cyclone has been bringing rain and gale force winds to the NT border area for the last couple of days. However, Kununurra, Wyndham and other East Kimberley communities have been spared the worst of the potential flooding and associated weather.

Kununurra and Wyndham communities are no longer on alert as Carlos moves further Northwest.
